‘Peaky Blinders’ to Air Feature-Length Finale as ‘Dry Run’ for Film Spinoff
The finale of “Peaky Blinders” will be a feature-length episode that builds expectations for an upcoming franchise film, director Anthony Byrne says.

Byrne told RadioTimes.com the Season 6 send-off has a run time of 81 minutes.

“It’s such a Peaky thing to do for the last hurrah. It’s the 10:22 news for one night only,” Byrne said. “It feels very, very different to the rest of the season. It feels very, very different to anything we’ve done before. It’s very epic in scope. It feels like a film – it’s a kind of dry run for the feature film.”

Show creator Steven Knight also told RadioTimes.com that the upcoming movie will be an “untold story that happened in the Second World War, which the Peakys are going to be involved in”.

Byrne has previously responded to criticism about the change in the show’s tone, especially for the last season.

Amanda Seyfried Improvised Many of Her Cringe-Worthy Dance Moves for ‘The Dropout’
In “The Dropout,” Amanda Seyfried’s dance-tastic take on Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes has spurred GIFs, memes, and yes, even Twitter debates over just how cringe-inducing her dance moves really are. But that’s all just part of going method for Seyfried.

While transforming into the Silicon Valley inventor recently convicted of defrauding investors, Seyfried was encouraged by “The Dropout” showrunner Elizabeth Meriwether to fully embody Holmes’ alleged solo dance parties.

“[The dancing] became, for me, a way to show the character grappling with emotions…because I think she, the character in the show, is not great at getting her emotions out,” Meriwether told Et Online, citing an anecdote about Holmes dancing alone in her car, as shared in the investigative ABC News podcast for which the Hulu true-crime series is adapted from.

“That really stuck out to me because I was just really trying to imagine what Elizabeth Holmes is like when nobody’s watching her.

Finally, he gets a bright idea. “Putin has been deposed!” he shouts. Everything stops. “I was kidding,” he admits — but he got their attention. Then he unpacks his leather messenger bag,

How the Cameras in ‘The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey’ Kept the Past Alive

How the Cameras in ‘The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey’ Kept the Past Alive
The best visual stories, whether TV or film, have a clear justification for why they look the way they do. Sometimes the goal for a cinematographer is to make things look as beautiful as possible, but, when a show follows a single character’s perspective as closely as does “The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey,” the job it to ground the story’s look in that character’s relationship to the world. And Ptolemy Grey’s (Samuel L. Jackson) relationship to his world at the start of the series is one teetering on the edge. He is, as another famous character once put it, an old man filled with regret, waiting to die alone. Cinematographer Shawn Peters, who shot the first, third, and sixth episodes of the series, spoke to IndieWire about how Ptolemy’s changing levels of clarity informed the look of the series.

“I was 100 perfect working on

How ‘Bridgerton’ Season 2 Handles Simon’s Exit
The internet was shook when it was announced Regé-Jean Page wouldn’t be returning for Bridgerton Season 2. The first season shot Page and costar Phoebe Dynevor into stardom and quickly became Netflix’s biggest original series debut ever. So to hear Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings, wouldn’t be part of the new episodes when Daphne Basset, Duchess of Hastings, would was a shock, to say the least. Netflix announced Page’s departure from Bridgerton on the show’s Twitter account in April 2021 and revealed Dynevor wouldn’t be going anywhere with, “Daphne will remain a devoted wife and sister, helping her brother navigate the upcoming social season and what it has to offer — more intrigue and romance than my readers may be able to bear.” In subsequent interviews, Shonda Rhimes and Page said Simon was always meant to have a one-season arc. “I have nothing but excitement for Bridgerton
